My time in the U.S. is drawing to a close. We drove south today, stopping at Montezuma’s Castle, one last landmark.
My airport is the Phoenix Airport now, which is strange. This means that I’m going to be spending a lot more time in Phoenix in the future. I had the chance to meet up with an old friend who is from this area, and she surprised me with this: in the bowels of the city, scattered throughout the abandoned 1960’s strip malls and parking lots, there is a lovely vein of culture, art, and delicious food. So maybe Phoenix is kind of cool. Some parts, anyway.
